GERARDO MONTEMAYOR

Gerardo Montemayor has served as Vice President of Business Development & Consulting of INFLECTION POINT since the company's inception in 2003. Gerardo carries responsibility for supporting the entire sales process and to lead and kick start client engagements. In addition to this, Gerardo is also deeply involved in strategic initiatives such as the implementation of methodologies and software development processes. Prior to launching INFLECTION POINT, Gerardo served as Vice President of Engineering for Aether Systems, Inc., where he held full management responsibility for the company's engineering staffs in Owings Mills, Md., and in Monterrey, Mexico. While at Aether, Gerardo had the opportunity to lead projects in different vertical markets such as logistics, distribution, and finance. Gerardo joined Aether when the company acquired Sinope Systems Inc., which he co-founded and where he also held the top engineering position. Earlier, Gerardo worked in the Investment Management Group of BT Alex Brown, leading the development of portfolio management tools. He also worked in BT Alex Brown's Corporate Finance Group handling financing and M&A for a number of Latin American corporations. His technical and financial expertise is supported by his specialized experience in telecommunications analysis with Mexican conglomerate FEMSA and in software development with Grupo Alfa, another Mexican conglomerate.

Gerardo holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from ITESM (earned with academic distinction, Mención Honorifica) in Monterrey, Mexico, a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and an MBA with concentration in Finance and IT Strategy also from Cornell University.
