Ramiro Castillo has served as Vice President of Engineering of INFLECTION POINT since the company's inception in 2003. In this role, he is responsible for managing the company's technical staff, housed primarily in the company's main development center in Monterrey, Mexico. With more than 16 years experience in systems architecture, design, and development, Ramiro directs INFLECTION POINT's software development efforts using a combination of software development disciplines and project management best practices. Prior to launching INFLECTION POINT, Ramiro served as senior technical leader for Aether Systems, Inc., where he worked in the development and design of multiple mobile and wireless solutions including leading edge mobile middleware. Ramiro joined Aether when the company acquired Sinope Systems Inc., which he co-founded and where he served as a key technical contributor. At Sinope Systems, Ramiro developed advanced wireless solutions for numerous clients including brokerage Merrill Lynch. Earlier, Ramiro worked for Infosel, SA de CV, an ISP, internet portal, and financial solutions company, which eventually became part of Terra Networks. At Infosel, he contributed to various infrastructure and R&D software projects plus a suite of financial, online trading, and internet products. It was in this critical product development role that Ramiro began building his reputation for strict adherence to software development and project management disciplines.

Ramiro holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from ITESM (earned with academic distinction, Mención Honorifica) in Monterrey, Mexico.
